ONE MISSION, MANY LIVES: OTI REGION REACHED, VOLTA NEXT

The lives of 2,113 people across 5 communities in Nkwanta South Municipality of the Oti Region (Kabiti – 420, Old Agou – 517, Odumase – 342, Tutupkene – 468, and Salifu – 366) were touched through the collaborative efforts of International Needs Ghana and International Needs USA.

Members of the 5 communities and surrounding areas had access to free medical screening and treatment for various conditions. Participants with chronic illnesses were counselled by medics on disease management. Participants whose conditions required advanced care were referred to district/regional/teaching hospitals for further care.

Goodies such as walking aids and spectacles were distributed to patients who needed these aids to support their daily lives. In addition, footballs and learning materials were donated to the various schools in the communities where clinics were held. This was to contribute to enhanced learning and sports in the schools. Our commitment to touch lives in the Oti Region brought relief to a lot of people.

The Volta Region is next; International Needs Ghana will collaborate with International Needs USA once again, to provide medical support in 5 communities in North Tongu, Central Tongu District and Ketu South Municipality in February, 2026.
