Since February 2024, INGH in partnership with International Needs USA and the Ghana Health Service have been involved in training Community Health Volunteers (CHVs) and nurses for early identification and reporting of diseases. This training has contributed to increased timely reporting of such diseases by CHVs, and follow-ups from the Ghana Health Service.
In January 2025, ten (10) nurses and midwives working in primary healthcare facilities, were trained on the management of trauma, household injuries, burns and animal bites.
INGH looks forward to training more nurses and volunteers to strengthen primary health care in the underserved communities.
