The focus of this programme is to share the Gospel, plant new churches, and disciple believers to live a Christ-like life which reflects God’s love and values.
The evangelistic activities are conducted by the church planters, pastors, and members of the churches to win souls into the Kingdom of God. Activities such as crusades, house-to-house evangelism, revivals, prayer retreats, evangelistic films, Jesus’ film shows, and other evangelistic activities are strategically adopted by the various churches to salvage souls into the Kingdom of God. The program covers about 43 communities in the Volta and Greater Accra Region of Ghana. Every year, new communities are reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ; souls won are discipled, baptized and integrated in various churches.
The following projects are under the community outreach
This project focuses mainly on evangelistic activities in Kuve and other communities. There are three (3) main specific targets under the programme. These are the Youth Development, community-wide outreaches, and school discipleship. The program provides educational health talks to students, youth, and the elderly in the communities it serves. It nurtures participants in discipleship through evangelistic activities such as Bible Studies, Jesus or gospel films, revivals, crusades, and house-to-house evangelism, leading them to know Jesus and live for Him.
Phase 2 of the Partnership for Transformational Growth aims at conducting evangelistic outreaches in 12 communities in the North Tongu in the Volta Region, reaching out to 1,200 people. Key areas of activity are to conduct targeted evangelism, conduct community-wide evangelism in 12 communities, and to provide instruments for churches in need. INGH is implementing this project in partnership with the Northbrook Church.
The Community Children’s Bible Club (CCBC) is a vibrant initiative that aims to empower children to grow in faith, character, and service, as they share God’s love and teachings in a safe, inclusive, and fun environment. Children in the Club are empowered with the Word of God to share the gospel with their peers in local communities. CCBC has made a significant impact, touching the lives of over 200 children. Parents have witnessed firsthand the transformative power of the gospel in their children’s lives, and their testimonies are a testament to the club’s effectiveness in nurturing young faith and character.
The project was a 5-year project aimed at reaching the Chala and Kotokoli people groups in Ghana with the Gospel from 2019 to 2024. The project was implemented in 4 communities, namely Keri, Kue, Odormi, and Old Agou in the Nkwanta South Municipal in the Oti Region.
Key Achievements:
Church Planting: 3 churches planted in Keri, Bayimbore, and Yajakum with discipleship support.
Child Evangelism: Through Child Evangelism, 5 community-level children’s Bible clubs were established in Old Agou, Keri, Odomi, Kue, and Bayimbore, nurturing over 800 children in Christian values.
Bible Translation: INGH collaborated with the Ghana Institute of Linguistics, Literacy, and Bible Translation (GILLBT) to translate the Bible into the Challa language. Five books of the New Testament (Mark, Luke, Matthew, Philippians, and Colossians) had been translated into the Challa language.
Socio-Economic Development: Livelihood support was provided to 139 people, promoting financial inclusion and stability through Village Savings and Loans Associations (VSLA).
This project has made significant strides in sharing the Gospel, empowering communities, and improving livelihoods among the Chala and Kotokoli people groups.
