Determined to serve Ghana as Finance Minister
About a decade ago, the educational journey of Stephanie Darkoa Ofori was very unclear; her family’s financial challenges made it difficult for her to focus on her education. Then came the International Needs Ghana Child Assistance Programme (INCAP) which supported her from Basic School to the Senior High School. INCAP provided school supplies like textbooks and other educational materials that helped her to fully concentrate on her academic work.
Stephanie, is an alumnus of Doblo Gonno Methodist Basic School where she enrolled on INCAP and Achimota Senior High School.
While at Senior High School she gained a strong interest in economics and persevered to emerge as one of the best students in the subject at Achimota Senior High School.
Stephanie is presently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics at the University of Cape Coast and she aspires to become an economist or financial analyst, with a long-term ambition of serving Ghana as a finance minister.
Beyond her academics, she developed strong public speaking and communication skills, which has boosted her confidence.
