International Needs Ghana (INGH) has commissioned an ultra-modern playground for Kpogede Community School (KCS), one of the leading basic schools in the Central Tongu District of the Volta Region, Ghana. This was made possible through funding from International Needs UK. This new facility aims to promote creativity and problem-solving among pupils, providing them with an engaging and safe environment to play and learn. The playground will encourage team building and physical fitness, allowing children to develop their muscles, arms, legs, and torso while also helping them actively participate in class.

The playground consists of a PlayRight Jumbo Structure, made of durable fiberglass, with a regular slide measuring about 9 feet long, a 5-joint tube slide, a 3-joint tube slide, a monkey climber, a spiral climber, and a perforated staircase with side railings and platforms. Children have an open space for games such as hopscotch and an artificial grass carpet for safe landing and protective surfacing.

Established in 2008 by INGH, Kpogede Community School has consistently demonstrated excellence in education. The school boasts numerous awards, notably the Best in Maths & Science Summit in the District from 2016 to 2023 and the Best Students of the District from 2018 to 2022.
