class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Centre for Empowerment and Enterprise Development (CEED), Adidome formerly International Needs Vocational Training Centre (INVTC) is a private, technical\/vocational and entrepreneurial training centre established by INGH in 1991.<\/p><p>\u00a0CEED empowers young people through skills training to be economically and socially independent, secured and empowered to enable them contribute to the development of society. CEED provides training in three areas: Fashion and Design, Hospitality Management and Cosmetology.<\/p><p>Located in a serene and congenial environment, the Centre promotes peaceful, friendly and focused learning atmosphere for students. It provides the requisite infrastructure, equipment, motivation and qualified dedicated staff that give quality vocational and entrepreneurial training to students and prepare them to be competitive in their chose fields. Significantly, the Centre has contributed to the moral, economic, spiritual, physical and social development of young women in society and the nation at large. Most of these trained women are currently independent and self-employed in their own income generating ventures.<\/p><p><strong>What Makes CEED Unique?<\/strong><\/p><p>CEED facilitators are seasoned professionals with several years teaching experience.<\/p><ul><li>Our affiliation with institutions overseas offers our students a matchless cross-cultural learning experience. We also run mentorship programmes by inviting the best professionals in the Ghanaian industry to coach and interact with the students.<\/li><li>A well-equipped resource centre provides students with opportunities to research and broaden their knowledge.<\/li><li>An Exciting Learning Experience leveraging on information, communication and technology to creatively combine theory and practice that leaves a lasting effect on students.<\/li><li>Our Business Incubator ensures that our graduates get a head start: CEED provides the needed logistics to graduates to link up with customers and deliver on orders at a moderate fee. Graduates can start building their businesses from the Centre. CEED offers training in three skill areas namely: Fashion and Design, Hospitality and Cosmetology<\/li><\/ul><p><strong><br \/>Fashion and Design<\/strong><\/p><p>The Fashion and Design Unit offers a variety of training programmes ranging from short-term certificate courses to extended Proficiency and National Certificate II vocational training programmes. The curriculum includes modules in:<\/p><ul><li>Fashion design and illustration<\/li><li>Pattern drafting and garment construction<\/li><li>Tailoring and textile technology<\/li><li>Embroidery, beading, and fabric embellishment<\/li><li>Fashion business and entrepreneurship<\/li><\/ul><p>Students gain hands-on experience through project-based learning, fashion showcases, and internship opportunities with local designers and garment producers.<\/p><p>The unit is equipped with well-maintained sewing machines, cutting tables, mannequins, design software, and an incubation centre. Students have access to both traditional and modern techniques, bridging the gap between heritage craftsmanship and contemporary fashion trends.<\/p><p><b><br \/>Hospitality<\/b><\/p><p>The Hospitality and Catering Unit equips students with the technical knowledge, practical experience, and soft skills required to thrive in both local and international hospitality settings.<\/p><p>The Hospitality and Catering curriculum are hands-on and industry-relevant areas, which makes preparing students for employment and entrepreneurship in areas such as:<\/p><ul><li><strong>Culinary Arts &amp; Food Production<\/strong> \u2013 including meal planning, cooking techniques, and food presentation.<\/li><li><strong>Baking &amp; Pastry<\/strong> \u2013 covering bread, cakes, pastries, and decorative techniques.<\/li><li><strong>Food &amp; Beverage Service<\/strong> \u2013 focusing on table service, bar skills, and customer interaction.<\/li><li><strong>Housekeeping &amp; Accommodation Services<\/strong> \u2013 emphasizing cleaning standards, room preparation, and guest services.<\/li><li><strong>Event Planning &amp; Hospitality Management<\/strong> \u2013 providing an introduction to organizing and managing hospitality events.<\/li><\/ul><p>Students receive extensive practical training in well-equipped kitchens and simulated hotel environments, supported by experienced instructors and guest industry professionals.<\/p><p>The unit maintains active partnerships with local hotels, restaurants, and event service providers, offering students internship opportunities and exposure to real-world hospitality environments.<\/p><p><b><br \/>Cosmetology<\/b><\/p><p>The Cosmetology Unit is a hub for skills development in the beauty and personal care industry. This unit is committed to training individuals\u2014especially youth and women\u2014in practical, income-generating skills that promote self-employment and career advancement in a growing and in-demand field.<\/p><p>The Cosmetology programme provides hands-on, competency-based training in a wide range of beauty and wellness services, including:<\/p><ul><li><strong>Hairdressing and Barbering<\/strong> \u2013\u00a0 cutting, styling, braiding, coloring, and treatments.<\/li><li><strong>Skin Care and Facial Treatments<\/strong> \u2013 focusing on cleansing, exfoliation, facials, and skincare routines.<\/li><li><strong>Makeup Artistry<\/strong> \u2013 including daytime, bridal, and special effects makeup techniques.<\/li><li><strong>Nail Technology<\/strong> \u2013 offering training in manicures, pedicures, nail art, and acrylic\/gel applications.<\/li><li><strong>Spa and Wellness Services<\/strong> \u2013 such as massage therapy and basic aromatherapy techniques.<\/li><\/ul><p>Trainees benefit from modern salon equipment, real-client practice sessions, and guidance from skilled instructors with professional industry experience.<\/p><p><strong>Learning Environment and Support<\/strong><\/p><p>The Cosmetology Unit operates in a fully-equipped training salon that simulates real working conditions. Students are also exposed to entrepreneurship skills, customer service training, and health and safety practices relevant to the beauty industry.<\/p><p>Workshops, guest lectures, and demonstrations from established cosmetologists enhance the learning experience and keep students up-to-date with current trends and technologies in beauty care.<\/p><p>Ghana Jobs and Skills Apprenticeship Project (GJS-AP)<\/p><p>INGH implemented the Ghana Jobs and Skills Apprenticeship Project (GJS-AP),\u00a0<\/p><p>project targeting\u00a0 the unemployed and underemployed youth within the Mafi-Adidome catchment area and provided them with the opportunity to acquire technical and vocational skills aligned with the Ghana TVET Qualifications Framework (TVETQF).<\/p><p><strong>56 learners<\/strong> benefited from the GJS-AP intervention made up of:<\/p><ul><li><strong>40 <\/strong>in <strong>Fashion Design &amp; Garment Construction<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>16 <\/strong>enrolled in <strong>Cosmetology<\/strong><\/li><\/ul><p>All 56 learners successfully completed the training and demonstrated competence in their respective trade areas and were duly awarded Certificates in National Proficiency I under the TVET Qualifications Framework (TVETQF).
