International Needs Ghana, has donated 60 kindergarten chairs and tables, 11 dual desks and 750 age-appropriate books to Aboelato D/A Basic School in Nyorkuku, in the Bolga East District of the Upper East Region. This gesture was aimed at improving access to education, a basic human right and change the situation of pupils having to sit on the floor to learn at school.

International Needs partnership with the Nyorkuku community, dates back to the year 2000, when vulnerable children were identified for support, under the International Needs Child Assistance Programme (INCAP). Eighty children are currently supported under INCAP. 

INGH’s partnership with both local and international stakeholders, continues to yield results. Through collaboration with the District Assembly, a 6-unit classroom block, and a pavilion were built for the school; 30-dual desks were also provided to facilitate teaching and learning.

INGH continues to transform lives and change communities, through its programmes in Education, Child Rights, Health, Gender and Empowerment and Christian Witness.
