Kanuwloe, a farming community in the North Tongu District was the first stop of INGH’s second Medical Outreach for the year. 380 people including 180 children were served. INGH has been working in Kanuwloe since 2006 when it built a school to attend to the needs of children who had to walk several kilometres or travel by canoe to distant communities to access education.
Prior to visiting Kanuwloe, the Medical team had seen and treated students of The Centre for Empowerment and Enterprise Development – CEED at Adidome.
INGH is partnering International Needs USA to deliver these outreaches. Over 5,000 people are expected to be served. The first phase which took place in the Oti Region took care of over 2,000 people.
